Door decor

We're just off the Imagination. I had brought a very tasteful Halloween bow to tape to my cabin door. I used a very small piece of duct tape and planned to remove any glue residue myself before leaving. I had seen many people hang door decor on my RCI cruises.

Third morning into the cruise I hear scratching at my cabin door. I opened the door to see what was happening. My ribbon had been removed and placed on the floor. A man (not my cabin steward) was washing the glue residue off my door. He spoke no English so I have no idea what he was telling me, but I'm pretty sure it translated to "no door decorations." I went down a lot of corridors and no one else had decorated their doors.

No, I just think they weren't too pleased with my duct tape (only about 2 inches by 2 inches). I had the bow set up so I could attach it with a twist tie, but there was nothing to tie it to. Maybe they thought the tape would rip off some door paint, but it didn't. Not a problem. I just hung the bow inside my cabin and now it's on my front door here at home.
