Plantation Staybridge Suites-Transportation

I just booked a room at the staybridge (which apparently is 8 miles from the airport in Plantation) for $139 which is a suite with 2 rooms 1 king bed and 1 queen pull out sofa...if you are looking for somewhere in a panic I think they have a couple rooms left...however I was told cab fare is $20-$30 from the airport and the same to the cruise port..

 

Does anyone know of cheaper transportation from the airport--a shuttle or even bus?

 

How oh how did my $95 hotel room (which was at the holiday inn beach front which is going to be closed until after this weekend) turn into $139 and over $40 in cab fares!!!!! :(

Tri-County/Airport Express is the shared van service that serves FLL... http://www.floridalimo.com/

 

Depending on how many in your party it may not really be much cheaper for that distance.
