A great thing about dressing the hwole family up for formal nights is getting the family photos taken before dinner. Makes great soverniers. I have always taken my kids to formal nights. they loved getting dressed up and venturing to get photos taken -then eating together as a family. If you think it might be a bit too much for your child, you do have the option of feeding them earlier and having them attend the kids club activities instead.
