yep - that is correct...they will be charged to your shipboard account.

not sure how it works if you pre-book them. i am sure that you wouldn't get charged before you actually went on the excursions but i am not sure about that...maybe someone else can help?

If you book a tour through Princess, you can make your reservation online or via the forms sent ahead of time and you'll receive the tour tickets in your cabin when you board. They are charged to your onboard account (the credit card or payment on your onboard account) after you embark. If you want or need to cancel, just do so by 10AM the morning before the tour and turn in your tickets. The amount will be credited to your onboard account. Your credit card will be charged for all of the onboard charges less any credits at the end of the cruise.

Unlike other cruiselines, you don't have to pre-pay for your Princess tours.

I was just going to explain the excursions payment but Pam in MA said it perfectly. The only thing you have to watch for is that there is so many good excursions out that if you are not careful you spend yourself silly. ( I really am using me as an example). It is very easy to do it online on your cruise personalizer. It will keep a running total for you.
