Just got a price protection approval for Dec. 18th cruise on the Pride. Just goofing around and did a mock booking for an Ocean Suite for my parents cruise. Got them $720 on board credit. They booked an OS 2 months ago $2458 base rate. Same Room now is $1778 base rate. 8 day Christmas cruise. Guess they got their present already.lol

Is there a time limit to do that? We sail November 17th? Can I check the price now and can I get money back now or is it too late?

If you are booked under an early saver rate you can get price protection up to 2 days prior to sailing.

You have to be booked on an early saver rate and you can check up til 24 hours before your cruise. If after final payment they give it to you in onboard credit. It goes off base rate before taxes and port fees.

How can I tell if I booked under early saver? I don't recall what I booked it under.

Does that get refunded as cash at the end of the cruise if they don't use it?

If your cabin type is sold out you cannot get OBC anymore, right? I ask because on my b2b all of the 4E cabins are sold out so I couldn't check fares, but I was able to get OBC for the second leg.

Google carnival fair viewer. Somewhere hidden in there website is this page where you put in you ship and sail date and you will be able to see a price breakdown for each fair. I'm not sure if they'll match still, I haven't run into this personally, but you can at least check

I don't believe so. It said nonrefundable onboard credit. Trying to find out for sure. But it will pay gratuity and excursions they might not do otherwise. We told them to use it up and have fun:)

Tell them to go to the casino. Use their sign & sail card to load money at the slot machine (there's no fee to use it at a slot machine) and pull the handle a couple times. When they stop playing the machine the money goes into a separate account, their "players bank." Then they can go to the casino cashier and cash out their players bank for spending money in port.
