Jw Marriott

We're staying at the JW Marriott January 6. I believe there is a Publix market nearby. Does anyone know if it is within walking distance and if they sell liquor. Also, I think there is a micro-brewery and steak house across the street. Are these nice restaurants? How is the JW Marriott?

Thanks,

Jim

JW Marriott is a wonderful hotel in a great location on Brickell Avenue. It's my favorite in downtown Miami, it's a great place for the price!

Gordon Biersch is good, just across the street to the south... http://www.gordonbiersch.com/

Morton's is great, just across the street west... http://www.mortons.com/

Capitol Grille is also a good restaurant a few blocks north of JW Marriott on Brickell... http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/Locations/Miami/Main.asp?Location=Miami

The closest Publix is at 134 SW 13th Street if you want to put the addresses into Google Maps or Mapquest and print out a map and directions. Publix have beer & wine, no hard liquor.

Trent,

Thanks for your quick response. I have been reading your post for quite a while. I'm wondering when you are going to get tired of answering the same questions over and over again! Your help to all of us is really appreciated.

Thanks again,

Jim

Hi Lakebum-

I will be there with you on January 6 at JW in Miami for our pre-cruise stay before NOS on Jan 7. I was thinking about checking out Bayside for dinner that night but Morton's doesn't sound bad either :)
