Need snorkelling advice

snorkelcrazy

Recommended Posts

We will be cruising in March to Nassau, St. Martin, and St.Thomas/St. John. We would like to spend as much time as possible in the water snorkelling. Usually, on an excursion your time is limited to the amount of time you actually get to snorkel. Any advice or information from anyone who could help would be appreciated. Also, do you know if you can go on your own to Trunk Bay in St. John, and just spend the day there snorkelling on your own? Thanks.:o

You sure can. Take a taxi to Red Hook then take the ferry over to St. John. Trunk bay is very popular, so if you are looking for something a little less visited, you might want to try the next bay over, Cinnamon bay I believe it is. This website might be of some help.

As for St. Maarten, I though the diving there was mediocre at best, so I wouldn't have high expectations for good snorkeling there. YMMV.
