VPKara Posted October 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2016 When you book a 3 or 5 day dining package, it indicates that Celebrity will assign you on the first night to a dining room and then you can pick the rest for your package. But, we like eating in the MDR on the first night. Will we be able to change not eating in a specialty restaurant on the first night or is that part of the package that can't be changed? basil's mom Posted October 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2016 You can choose whether your first dinner in a specialty restaurant is the first or second night; the cruiseline picks where you eat that night.

wallie5446 Posted November 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2016 We always wait till on board to book our package. We go to Murano to do so, not the sales stand at the buffet. They have always let us pick when and where we dine. Also we get to use any On Board Credit to cover the cost.
swiss Posted November 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Is the dining package the same price if you wait to book it on board?
VPKara Posted November 3, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Is the dining package the same price if you wait to book it on board? That's a good question. And also, has anyone experienced not being able to get reservations at the specialty restaurants if they wait till they board? We tend to eat late (8-10) and the restaurants on our last cruise to Alaska weren't really busy during that time.

We tend to eat late (8-10) and the restaurants on our last cruise to Alaska weren't really busy during that time. We have only bought a pkg when sailing in the Caribbean, the cost has been the same pre or when we board. And we have never had a problem getting the day and time we wanted, 2013 on the Reflection, and 2014 & 15 on the Equinox 10/11 day sailings.
