Jamie.Francis03 Posted November 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2016 I'm seeing a lot of posts about getting early to shows and pools. How early should we arrive to get good seats for shows - and how early are people reserving chairs near pools?! We set sail one week from today and we are so excited!:D
alfaeric Posted November 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Shows- if you want 100% chance for a specific seat, 45min-hour. That's when we saw the line starting. If you just want in with a reservation- they open the general opening line 10 min prior to show time.
Guest maddycat Posted November 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2016 If you're going to see a show in Two 70 you should get there an hour before show time. The seating is very limited. In the main theater 45 minutes is good.
Jamie.Francis03 Posted November 4, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted November 4, 2016 Anyone know about the pools?
rtazz17 Posted November 5, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) Anyone know about the pools? You will always find a chair on the pool deck...Will it be right next to pool? Well you may need to get out there pretty early in morning on a sea day for that... But honestly I would not stress about it.. Theres always chairs somewhere... Btw we are on same ten day cruise leaving nov 10th.Hopefully you booked your shows online already so you dont have to wait in standby line... If you are doing shows via standby you arent going to get good seats obviously they will most likely be gone...Pretty much zero chance you will get a specific seat if you havent prebooked but Im assuming you did so yeah 45-1:00.. Seems like a waste of time to wait an hour on vacation just to get a seat. They are all good. Edited November 5, 2016 by rtazz17
Jamie.Francis03 Posted November 7, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted November 7, 2016 Yes, I booked shows as soon as they were available! I'm excited you will be on the same cruise! And thank you for answering the pool question. I don't care too much if I am right by the pool as long as I can get some sun!
DonnaK Posted November 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2016 (edited) I've been on Anthem twice and Quantum (from NJ) once. We like to sit upfront for shows, and never had to get there as early as suggested here. Twenty minutes was fine for us to find two seats together, usually on the aisle, in the first 5 rows. (that was with reservations) The exception was the show in 270. We got there 30 minutes early in order to get a good seat. We also got good seats via the standby line for both The Gift and WWRY. If you have a larger party, you might need more time to find a larger number of seats together. We also didn't have problems finding two loungers together at any time in the Solarium.
