PiperHolliday Posted November 28, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 28, 2016 I once read that the dirtiest place on a plane was the seat pocket in front of you and to avoid using it if at all possible. This is very accurate. You would not believe the things people put in the seatback pocket. Many tend to use it as their own personal garbage storage. I once encountered a pair of used panties in one. I promptly called to have the area cleaned and disinfected. Thankfully, new aircraft are being delivered with hard plastic seatback pockets that are more level with the sight-line of the passenger and can only fit reading material. Sure, they'll still put gum in there...but diapers and leftover cups and food will no longer be an issue.
chloe45 Posted November 28, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted November 28, 2016 Did you fly to the embarkation port? Being ill 3 days into the cruise could mean you caught the germs in an airport or on a plane before the cruise. No, we drove to the port. It's an 1 1/2 away from home.
