Help with Miami Motels

I am trying to book a downtown motel with Priceline for 4/30. I need to find a backup hotel that is refundable in case I don't get one through Priceline. Any suggestions for a decent motel near restaurant(s) for about $75 per night with airport shuttle. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Macy

The only hotels with airport shuttles are the ones around the airport, but I don't think you're going to find anything "decent" for THAT price! Anything you can book directly for $75 is going to be pretty scary!

These are "decent" MIA airport hotels...

If you are looking for a budget type stay and aren't into the 4 star hotel scene, you should be able to get the Holiday Inn Miami International Airport for around $34-$40 per night on Priceline or Hotwire. It has a pool, fitness room, airport shuttle, a shuttle to the port, a restaurant/bar, and is close to a Burger King, Pollo Tropical, and a Bennigan's. It's not in the greatest section of town, nor is it a spectacular hotel. But for the price, it is clean and comfortable, and for me, being a budget traveler, that combination is hard to resist for only $40 a night.

Thanks for your suggestions. I am pretty much a budget traveler, although my husband is not. He likes a 4 star hotel, so I'm still trying to get something on Priceline, and hope to get it soon. Thanks again.

I'm with your husband. I'd sleep in my car before I'd sleep in that Holiday Inn at the airport mentioned above!

Try these in downtown Miami, these are all great hotels that I'm sure your husband would approve of. JW Marriott has great AAA rates most of the time if you're a member.
