Just couldn't wait any longer and wanted to get loose ends tied up (and also choice of cabins) so we booked the Diamond on August 6, 2005 in a AC mini-suite. We got a good rate from our TA and I have dealt with her before so feel confident that if we have any problems they will be taken care of very efficiently.

Have already decided on tours we want to take (and deciding that amongst 3 women is not an easy task) and have checked out airfare (although too early to book yet) and we are doing research on hotels in Seattle for our pre-cruise stay. We will book mostly Princess tours due to uncertainty of arrival times and docking at certain ports with the exception of Captain Larry's in Juneau. The plan is all coming together nicely. I'm sure I'll have fun buying new jeans, sweatshirts, fleeces, boots, binoculars, etc. between now and next year. It just heightens the excitement.

If anyone decides to go on the Aug 6, 2005 cruise hope we can all meet on a roll call. I'll start one in mid-August if no one else has already.

Alaska here we come.

Maybe Host Caroline is ill, or something, but you would think someone else would pick up on this.

I do have a response from her in my email when we first started this. Perhaps if we don't hear anything by Friday, I'll send her something and hopefully she will respond.
