sport sandals vs water shoes for the falls

Hi,

I've climbed the falls over 20 times...I used to vacation in Jamaica with my parents 2-3 times a year. I've done it barefoot, but what works really good is just a cheap pair of sneakers like the low ones you can get at walmart for like $5...then you can just toss them after. Good Luck, It's a real workout!

I wore water sandals (TEVAS) last year while climbing the falls. Water shoes would have been a better choice. Although the TEVAS are so comfortable, the current sometimes got between the sandal and my foot, making it a little difficult to maneuver. My husband wore the water socks and had no problems.
