dogsrule Posted December 1, 2005 #102 Share Posted December 1, 2005  :) I vote no for velvet in warm climates....period.....its inappropriate fabric for the occasion and temperature. Lets leave the drama and emotion out of this as I enjoy feedback I get from Jane and Caviar as well as others. With everything going on in the world, its plain stupid to argue over velvet.......... crucero-amante Posted December 2, 2005 #103 Share Posted December 2, 2005 Darn it! I want to argue over velvet. I want to argue about what color not to wear. As for whats going on in the world; I thought this was my world. J~

momofmeg Posted December 6, 2005 #105 Share Posted December 6, 2005 Yesterday on QVC Jill was selling a velour running suit and she recommended it for "wearing on a cruise." Velour is similiar to velvet to me-just not as dressy. I did not like it (the running suit)myself but I guess it would be okay for a cold snap like what happened to us two years ago-but I sure would not wear that to sight-see in 95 degreee weather.
