Is Velvet ok?

 :) I vote no for velvet in warm climates....period.....its inappropriate fabric for the occasion and temperature. Lets leave the drama and emotion out of this as I enjoy feedback I get from Jane and Caviar as well as others. With everything going on in the world, its plain stupid to argue over velvet..........

Yesterday on QVC Jill was selling a velour running suit and she recommended it for "wearing on a cruise."

Velour is similiar to velvet to me-just not as dressy. I did not like it (the running suit)myself but I guess it would be okay for a cold snap like what happened to us two years ago-but I sure would not wear that to sight-see in 95 degreee weather.
