W. Carib. Miracle Sushi Bar & effects of Ports b/c of Wilma

Hello All!

 

Just wondering how the Sushi bar is on the Miracle??? Is it open only certain hours?? Is it made fresh?? Prepackaged??

 

Also, we are leaving in May 2006 and are wondering how the ports will be effected because of Wilma?? We went through IVAN in Pensacola & we are still recovering.

The Sushi bar was outside the Sports Bar on the Miracle.

I don;t eat it, so I do not know what it was made of, etc :)

 

I just saw it going into McGuires SPorts Bar :)

One thing I know is that it's not actually sushi; it's maki, which is the nori-wrapped rolls, and the fish is not raw. (This has disappointed my SO, who prefers sashimi.) It is prepared by a proper sushi chef, though. I've read mixed reviews about the maki.

We did the Miracle Tour de Wilma (10/23) and we went to 2 of the four scheduled stops, we made Belize and Grand Cayman. The cruises after us are already stopping at Costa Maya. My best "educated" guess is that by the time your cruise rolls around, they will be stopping in Coz, but things might be a little rough around the edges there.

 

You have to keep in mind that the economies of these places literally depend upon cruise ships docking. Their priorities are probably: water, electricity, cruise ship docks, clean-up.
