Been there in August and October, took lots of repellant and hardly used it. If you are going to be in forested rainy areas you will need it. Outside at night in the open air hotel rest. it may not be a bad idea to spray some on. I am usually the one that gets attacked by bugs and it wasn't a problem for me. Both times the weather was good and not too rainy.
