Taxi Service to Cocoa Beach

Hi, I'll be sailing on the Breakaway in April and was considering going to Cocoa Beach on my own instead of using the shuttle "excursion" through NCL. Has anyone had any recent experience with taxis to and from Cocoa Beach or is it worth just signing up for the shuttle.

 

I found some older information about taxis after searching the forums but nothing too recent so I can't tell if it's easy and cost effective to get a taxi.

Catch a sedan or van at the ship, ask for driver's card when you reach your destination and they will return for you. Quick and reasonable.
