Hi all, just received a letter from Carnival concerning our cruise tomorrow.

January 24, 2017

Dear Carnival Ecstasy Guests,

We'd like to provide some information on our embarkation plans for tomorrow.

As you may know, Carnival Ecstasy will be returning from dry-dock when she arrives in Charleston tomorrow. Adverse weather conditions in Freeport last night prevented us from completing the necessary loading and offloading of materials, as planned. The ship had to remain in Freeport today longer than scheduled so we could resume our loading activities. Carnival Ecstasy is on its way to Charleston now and expected to be alongside at approximately 11:00 AM tomorrow.

Once docked, we will need to disembark our dry-dock team before we can start embarking guests.

Since boarding for your cruise will be delayed, we ask that you kindly add five hours to your previously selected check-in window. A $15 per person credit will be posted to your on board Sail and Sign account to offset any lunch expenses you may incur on Wednesday.

All guests must be on board by 8:00 PM and we will set sail shortly thereafter. Our itinerary remains as scheduled

Please do not arrive at the terminal prior to your newly assigned time since terminal and parking facilities are limited. We are sorry to say that guests who arrive prior to their assigned time will not be permitted to enter the facility and will be asked to return at their scheduled time.

We apologize for this unexpected delay and thank you for your understanding. Most importantly, we look forward to hosting you this week!

See you soon!

So it's a bummer, but will have to start our cruise later than planned. I wonder how many people will show up at the regular time and have to wait 5 hours to board?
