puckett Posted November 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Our friends are next to us, does the balconey open up to the cabin next to you? thanks
Aloucha Posted November 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Seperation is a wall (steel plate) bolted with 4 or 5 bolts if I remember correctly. I read on another post that you could ask the stewart to have the wall remove for the duration of the cruise but I do not know if it is true for all balconies. Big Al B. Posted November 12, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2005 We were in 8245 and the walls between ours and the ones on either side did not open.
shoreguy Posted November 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2005 As a rule the balconies do not open on the Sun. As pointed out they are bolted in place unlike the Star/Dawn/Jewel that have a hinged center piece.

workroombee Posted November 13, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 13, 2005 Hey Puckett, we'll be sailing on the Sun to Alaska in June of 2006. We'd love to know if it works out for you (to have the room steward un-bolt the balcony dividers for a tip). Our group will have 5 staterooms in a row and we'd really like to have all the balcony space open. Please--pretty please?--report back as to your success or lack of it!
