Birthday celebrations

We will be sailing on carnival victory in June. We would like to know what does carnival do for Birthday celebrations? Anything complimentary?

On my last birthday cruise in 2015, they just did a slice of cheesecake and sang happy birthday in the main dining room.

Yes go to manage your booking. Edit the person whose birthday it is. There is a category for celebrations. Check the box for birthday. They will give a small cake at dinner and sing. The room Stewart will give a card with either a spa gift card or free picture coupon. Occasionally I think a bottle of champagne, but I can't remember for certain.

I received a gift certificate for a free 5 x 7 photo. Unfortunately I don't get my picture taken, so I didn't use it. I did have dinner in the Steakhouse and they brought out a dessert with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday to me.

If you do not order a whole cake prior to sailing, the wait staff will bring out a random complimentary piece of cake with a candle and may or may not sing "Happy Birthday". The piece of cake that they brought out was terrible and inedible and the "birthday boy" had one bite and left the rest.

 

The next cruise we had a family member celebrating a birthday so I contacted Carnival prior to our cruise and ordered a whole cake of my choosing and instructed them on what night I wanted it presented in the MDR. It was brought in with a candle and our wait staff sang and sliced up the cake and served it to our family. The cake was fresh and delicious. The cake was not "free", I paid the going rate at that time.

I sailed on the Glory last year on my birthday and received a free 5 x 7 photo. Also received a small cake in the dining room that was the best cake I have ever had (did not pay for it) and they sang happy birthday..

Interesting to know. Thanks! I graduate with my Masters Degree while we are on the ship! WAAAAAHOOOOO! Maybe I'll get a spa gift card :p Lord knows this life long student needs a spa treatment! (And some alcohol!)
