CatskillsMom Posted November 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Just wondering if you still had your 1 nighter daily..I would like to see what it looks like to give us an idea of what to expect this Friday. Thanks!
naragonl Posted November 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Hi CatskillMom, I think I remember Shoreguy saying that they had 2 showings of Bollywood, (I think 8 and 10). Other than that it looked like a regular cruise. He did say the restaurants, bars and casino were packed. The shows were not. Funny thought- Art Auctions (they wouldn't, would they) I thought he said they had Murder Mystery Dinner too. I think this 1 night cruise will be like the first time we cruised and wanted to pack everything possible into that first day. Question for you- Have you received (other than the e-mail copy) actual tickets (i thought I read that someone got the tickets and luggage tags too). I'll call today, I do have the receipt with the reservation number. I thinkl that shuld be enough worst case but would like tickets in hand. Question 2- Does anyone know if the internet cafe is up and running while in port. (Reason I ask is that I'm kind of trying to get an early start but may need to check in with work along the way until 5PM. Cellphone should be OK, but wondering about PC. Thanks for any replies. Why is it that even a one nighter is giving the goose bump feeling? I do believe there will be a lot of unhappy cruisers having to disembark Saturday morning. I'll not want to get off! CatskillsMom Posted November 15, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2005 I have not gotten any actual tickets in the mail. Although, when I booked I asked and they said just bring the computer print out. I also did my pre-registration online as everyone suggested so I have those papers too. What is Bollywood like? Maryfrei Posted November 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2005 We booked 11 days before embarkation, so tickets are pier pick-up. I think it needs to be at least 14 days before in order to have them send the tickets. As long as you have the reservation number and ID you should be fine. Bollywood reminded me of a mini Cirq de Sole?(sp?) That was on the Dawn, don't know if they do the same show on the Spirit. I remember Shore Guy's posting the same as naragonl, shows empty, restaurants and night clubs packed. Don't know about the internet Cafe. I am so looking forward to Friday! naragonl Posted November 15, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 15, 2005 I called NCL and they said the reservation # is all you need (of course Identification and money matters too). So, I'm OK, BrooklynPhil, how many of those luggage tags are you planning on using? Were you on the Aug 21st Dawn? Lastly, I saw that NCL Dawn is offering a 1 day cruise in May 2006, but the prices are much more than this Spirit Cruise. If I heard the NCL agent correctly, the least expensive cabin for the one nighter was approx $220 a person. I don't get the price difference but maybe I'm missing something. shoreguy Posted November 15, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Hi CatskillMom, I think I remember Shoreguy saying that they had 2 showings of Bollywood, (I think 8 and 10). Other than that it looked like a regular cruise. He did say the restaurants, bars and casino were packed. The shows were not. Correct plus two shows from second city 8:30 & 9:30 Spinnakers Funny thought- Art Auctions (they wouldn't, would they) They would at 6:15 I thought he said they had Murder Mystery Dinner too. There was registration in the Library at 1 pm Bingo one game at 7 pm Progressive - $21,332 Question 2- Does anyone know if the internet cafe is up and running while in port. (Reason I ask is that I'm kind of trying to get an early start but may need to check in with work along the way until 5PM. Cellphone should be OK, but wondering about PC. It was up and running when you board and they had specials 15 minutes for $8.25 and 30 minutes for $12.00 Thanks for any replies. you're welcome Also listed movie trivia in the cinema, Friends of Dorthy, Singles meet,Ballroom dancing....... In short far more offered then you can fit into one day - the crew and staff must hate these one day marathons
