Just booked bliss

Recommended Posts

Hello This will be DW and my first NCL cruise.

Please let me know your experience with the outside dining venues at Cagney's, and the other Specialty areas?

Logic tells me windy and chilly. We will be Mexican Riviera in October, 2018.

So what are these areas like on similar ships?

When time comes to book, do we specifically ask for outside.

Or is that decided at seating time?

Blessings,

Sam

Hi Sam,

Welcome to your first NCL cruise. I love NCL. The Bliss sailing will be my 5th cruise with NCL. I have been on Epic, Getaway, and Escape. So lots of Breakaway plus class for me. If Bliss is anything like the others it will be awesome.

My experience in the past is that most of the outside dining areas were not full and when booking online before hand you cannot request inside or outside. However, you can request when you get to the restaurant. The tables outside are from what I noticed for two and four people so larger groups will tend to be inside.

Sunset times do book up faster in the specialty dining. I always check the sunset times before booking my dining if eating outside for sunset is important to you.

Cagney's is great for steaks. I would say be sure to eat there.

For the outside weather I think it depends on when in October you are cruising. I am booked on the Bliss for October 5 to the 13th. It is more hot and humid at this time than late October is. Out on the water the temp and humidity is different in my opinion than on land.

I am not sure how Bliss will differ from Escape but all the areas of the ship are great. Lots of themed bars. Decks 6, 7, ad 8 also known and 678 ocean place is most popular area That is where the lobby is and where they hold a lot of game shows and trivia...Osheehans is also there with the casino so lots of activity. The duty free shops are also there...

They have a pool area and also spice H20 for adults only no pool but hot tubs there...I am hoping they continue with this area as it is peaceful and no kids running around so you can truly relax if that is what you want.

This ship is going to sail the Caribbean also. I am sure NCL will not leave out the slides and ropes course.

I hope this helps!

Breezy
