Willemstad foot bridge

I understand the foot/pontoon bridge is not operational. Does anyone have an idea when it will be fixed? The ferry would be difficult as I am a wheelchair user.

muskrat897, we are just back from Curacao and, according to info on a map and from the guide, the bridge will be back in service in April, 2006. Because the ramps are very thick, I agree that a wheelchair would be a problem and I do not remember seeing anyone in a wheelchair on the ferry. I hope I am wrong so you can get to the Punda to see the Venezuelan ship market, enjoy the waterfront cafes, and even visit the oldest synagogue in the western hemisphere.
