Miami Help for Dec needed

We arrive at Miami airport with a group of 5 in afternnon, and then 2 more will arrive around midnight. Anyone know how many passengers a taxi can seat? In Las Vegas they could seat 5-6 in some so a taxi was cheaper. Should we take a taxi to the Marriott or Super Shuttle.

Next question, we sail on Saturday at 5pm -- what is the earliest anyone would recommend trying to get on the ship? I know when we cruised Disney once we were able to board over 2 hours earliers than posted in our paperwork. Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you get a minivan taxi most taxis can handle 3 comfortably with luggage. Don't think 5 in a regular cab will cut it. Go for a shuttle available by the baggage claim area at MIA.

On most cruises we arrived by 11am and were in our cabins before noon. The only time we were delayed was recently with the NCL Sun out of Miami. They started boarding at noon and we didn't get into our cabin until 12:15. ;)
