We prepaid for the Cheers! program. Will we be able to use it when we board or do we have to wait until we actually have our sail and sign card? We have FTTF as well so we should get our cards when we get to our room. I've never had this before so I am just trying to get it all figured out before we go. Thanks!!!!

You use your paper boarding pass (with barcode) on it to make purchases on the ship before you retrieve your card. We got a drink as soon as we walked onboard, just gave them our boarding pass and they scanned the barcode. Worked fine.

If sailing out of New York or Texas, then Cheers doesn't kick in until 6am the 2nd day. All other ports just show your boarding pass and grab a drink on your way to your room.

Out of PC, you should get your S&S cards in the terminal before you board. That is what happened on our March 4 sailing on the Sunshine out of PC. I got a drink as soon as I got on at the lobby bar after paying with gift cards online. Wanted to be sure there were no issues so I could hit Guest Services right there if there was an issue

You may need to pay tax but that is minimal. I would not let it keep me from enjoying a beverage upon embarkation!

Galveston does not yet have the keys on board just yet, but will probably in the next few weeks.
