Will disembark in Boston on Oct. 8 & would like recommendations for hotels or areas where hotes are that would be centrally located for some walking sightseeing like Freedom Trail & would be able to store luggage till checkin. Any recommendations of tours & historical sights to visit would also be appreciated. There seems to be so much to see in Boston that it seems overwhelming to try to plan. Any help would be great.

Boston hotels are very expensive. What is your hotel budget? Two people? How many nights?

You are looking on Columbus Day weekend, which is the one of the busiest weekends of the year because of the college activities and fall foliage. If you want any kind of affordable hotel, now is the time to book and you should consider using Hotwire for a blind well rated hotel and prepaying.

Which area of the city would be the best for what we want to do? 2 of us are just staying 1 night - fly out on October 9. We are staying at Seaport Hotel 1 night prior to bruise. Would like to pay less than $300.

Look at the Bostonian at Faneuil Hall. This will put you in the center of everything and the rates are around your budget for your date. Rates are best if you prepay and register with them to get a 15% discount.

My second choice would be the Langham, which also has good rates fir your date.
