The advantage of higher decks vs lower?

Hi all - we're currently booked in interior cabins of the spa deck 10 on sunshine. Any advantage or disadvantage to booking higher decks vs lower? I heard the lower decks help with seasicknesses but are there any benefits to being up high?

We try to stay on a deck close to the Lido because that is where we are most of the cruise. One flight of stairs is not a bad deal going back and forth to the cabin throughout the day but when we stayed on deck 2, it was a lot of stairs to climb back and forth and there was always a long wait for an elevator. We have stayed on upper decks ever since and loved it!

I've never stayed in an interior room but we like upper decks because like LuvtheBeach10 says its close to Lido deck and thats where we spend most of our time also. Lower decks if your forward or aft of the ship your going to hear and feel the side thrusters a LOT more early in the morning when the ship is docking then you would if you were higher up. Higher up you dont hear or feel the thrusters much at all. at least we didnt when we had a Lido deck balcony room last cruise. Ship rocking front to back your going to feel no matter what if your forward or aft on any deck. Mid ship is best for the front to back rocking. Side to side rocking then interior rooms are best and if its just side to side then anywhere up and down the ship is good. bad part is you never know what kind of rocking or swaying your going to encounter on a cruise. It could be front to back as your going south then when the ship turns and goes east or west it could change to side to side rocking.

We've done lower decks but it just took forever to get up to the Lido where the food and pools are which was a deal breaker for us. I prefer the middle decks like 7 or 8. Just a couple flights of stairs up to the Lido or down to 5 where the casino, clubs, and shows are. That being said, we just booked deck 12 spa cabin, our second time in a row in this location and we love it! We really enjoy relaxing in the spa, especially in the Thelasso therapy pool, saunas, and heated loungers. Being right by the spa makes it so convenient for us. And they have huge walk-in showers with multiple jets, a bench to sit on (in the shower), large fluffy towels, blow dryers, and big mirrors. Perfect for getting ready for dinner. Once you start using those showers you just can't go back to those tiny showers in the cabin. I worried that being so high up and so far forward would make you feel movement more but after several cruises on deck 10 or higher I can honestly say we haven't really noticed any rocking or swaying. These experiences were all on Dream class ships so maybe it's because they were bigger sturdier ships.
