familycruisin101 Posted November 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2005 We will be in Jamaica with our 13 month old in December. I've heard that you should have something organized before getting off the ship, to ensure your safety. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to do with a 13 month? Should we get off the ship at all? Thanks!
melika091900 Posted November 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2005 Hello I would recommend something like going to the beach ... either through the cruiseline or on a taxi.... i cant remember some names of the beaches but im sure you can get the info somewhere on this thread,, going into the town,, might not be the best thing,, in jamaica.. they are very pushy and it is a different world, trust me, theres shopping at the port, so you can at least do that there and then i would say go to the beach... hope this helps melissa
2boysmommy Posted November 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2005 If you've never been to Jamaica.......get off the ship and walk to Island Village. Its located right between the two docks for the cruise ships. Its maybe 1/4 mile walk- go there and hit the beach. ITs a very small beach and they charge $3 per person to enter it...but its nice and clean. There are no locals bothering you- and there's shops all around and food. You can stay there all day without being harassed. My dh,ds and I went there and loved it. There's even a pool at Margaritaville- so I'm sure you'll have a great time!
