Epinz300 Posted April 16, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Coming in to vancouver june 14. Couple questions... already know we will take a taxi to downtown , but i need suggestions on activities to do before the cruise and hotel to stay at for 2 days. Nothing too expensive but not trash. Any help would be great Sent from my iPhone using Forums
xlxo Posted April 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2017 June 14th is a Wednesday..... what time is your arrival flight? Perhaps we can squeeze in some activities on your arrival date. There will be daylight past 9:30pm. What is your definition of expensive? By adjusting your pre-cruise hotel choice away from the cruise terminal.... we might be able to find some savings. Typically, I recommend ... Day 1: Capilano/Grouse/Fly Over Canada Day 2: Hop On shuttles to Gastown, Stanley Park and Granville Island Day 3: Whistler or Victoria Day trip.... ooops... you have run out of time. Rare martincath Posted April 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2017 All of the above are popular things - but there are too many good options in Vancouver for you to visit them all in a couple of days. If you can narrow down your interests, capabilities of yourself & companions (e.g. does anyone use a wheelchair or walker? would a mile on foot at a reasonable pace be the most you can handle, or is a ten mile jog before breakfast something you do daily? can you all ride bikes? how expensive is 'not too expensive' to you? would you rather be outdoors or indoors? see modern art/culture or historic?) Without knowing anything about you & yours, the best anyone can do is say what they enjoyed (which may be wildly different than what you like) or point you to e.g. Tripadvisor for a simple Joe Q Public 'most popular things to do in Vancouver' listing... Epinz300 Posted April 17, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Would it be bad to stay in north vancouver? Pinnacle by the pier looks like a decent place/price Sent from my iPhone using Forums
