Fredr Posted December 30, 2005 #27 Share Posted December 30, 2005 Hello, There are several reasonably priced motels on Lombard Street, with access to great public transportation, and very interesting San Francisco neighborhoods such as Chestnut Street and Union Street. There are also some reasonably priced restaurants near here. Remembr to have an Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista on North Point and Hyde. Have a wonderful visit to San Francisco but remember that this city tends to be expensive. Fred
KevBew Posted December 30, 2005 #28 Share Posted December 30, 2005 Check the rates on Hotwire because you can get sometimes get a room at the Park Hyatt and the Ritz Carlton for the same rates as Fisherman's Wharf. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Wharf. It really isn't all that impressive and the hotels down there are average at best. I never let friends stay down there. The hotels in the Financial District aren't very far from the cruise terminal and the restaurants are MUCH better.
