my huzband contacted our travel agent today and was told he didnt need a passport for our 1/21/06-1/26/06 cruise on the Imagination from Miami to Jamaica/Ocho Rios to Grand Cayman ...is this true?

Your TA was correct... new requirements don't start until 2007.

I just want to comment that it's always best to have a passport if you can at all get one. You never know what emergencies will strike in life. A passport is always 100% accepted everywhere in the world pretty much. You don't want to get stuck with a medical emergency or something, and needing to hop on a plane and have people argue with you over a birth certificate. A passport is the safest item to own if you leave your own country.
