hardingk Posted June 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2004 I was just reading a review about someone who sailed on the Mercury in a sky suite. They commented on how the perks were different for Concerige class vs. Suites. Does anyone know what the difference is besides the butler? I would think that being in a suite would give you all the ammenities of the concierge class and then more? ___________________________ RCL~Legend 5/2004, Navigator 8/2003, Majesty 7/2003, Radiance 4/2003, Monarch 8/2002, Nordic Empress 8/2001 Celebrity~Century 7/2001 & 7/1998, Horizon 7/1991 Future Cruises: Enchantment of the Seas 8/30/2004 Brilliance of the Seas 1/14/2005 Celebrity Mercury 4/7/2006 Till Belize on the Enchantment of the Seas! transactionchick Posted June 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2004 It was MY REVIEW and NO, we did NOT receive CC benefits - only SUITE amentities as listed on the Celebrity website. If you want CC ameniteis, book CC, if you want SUTE amentities book a suite. They are outlined on the celebrity website!! Happy Sailing! Oppgaard Posted June 6, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2004 We just got off Mercury a week ago in a sky suite and the amenities were different than a CC class. We did NOT have fresh flowers, different colored towels, pillow menus, better beds, better showerhead, better robes or an enhanced breakfast menu. CC even got to disembark before us. According to our butler, Celebrity is going to change this next year and give the suites the same amenities as CC and then the suite extras. It didn't make sense to me either that we were not given all the CC amenities. It is definetely not: You get what you pay for. ccletzgo Posted June 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2004 wait a min? You didnt recieve a full breakfast menue? I know you can order a full breakfast in a suite. I dont care what color the towels are, but I thought they would be heavier or bigger? I would love to hear more. I assumed.....suites would get CC plus suite perks. (although I did hear there where no fresh flowers) Confused? ccletzgo Posted June 8, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 8, 2004 " just called Celebirty and they told me that effective as of right now, all ammenities avilable to Concierge Class cabins are ALSO avilable to Suite members. To me that would make the most sense. Why would you pay more for a room to get less service?" Just read this post on another thread about this subject. This is great news. It only makes sense. I guess this means new mattress's in the suites? Oppgaard Posted June 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 8, 2004 Although we received a full breakfast menu, our butler told us that CC class had a more complete breakfast menu. One day I wanted eggs benedict and it was not on OUR menu but of courses our butler got it for me anyway. It's about time that Celebrity woke up to the fact that the suite guests should get all the perks of a CC class plus the suite extras. DOes anyone have this in writing from someone who has the authority to say this? DesertCruiser
