Car rental at Amtrak in Orlando

I need help on how to transfer from the amtrak in Orlando to Port Canaveral. If you have ever come into the amtrak in orlando how did you get to Port Canaveral? We are arriving the day before our cruise leaves Port Canaveral so thinking about staying in Orlando. Maybe we should rent a car? Are there car rentals near the amtrak in Orlando?

I've rented cars from Hertz at the Amtrak station in Orlando several times.

They have a van there to bring you to the rental location where you pick up the car. When returning the car, you bring it to the Amtrak station and drop the keys and paperwork with the Amtrak station agent.

To get a special rate, just call Amtrak and they will connect you with the

Amtrak desk at Hertz. I've gotten very good deals and great service doing this. I've also used the sewrvice at other Amtrak stations.
