Nsucristella Posted June 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2017 How strenuous is the walking on this tour? My mother has knee problems and am wondering if this is an excursion she could do. If it is slow paced I do not think it would be an issue, but if it is mainly walking with few stops it might not be for her. Also, how long are you at the actual site? Thanks in advance for the advice.
rittsail Posted June 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2017 It is a long excursion, but very worthwhile. I remember plenty of walking, but we did stop to look at things. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
jzc8n4 Posted June 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2017 My recollection was that we were at the site about 60-90 minutes. Part of the time is allocated to climbing some of the ruins, but you could opt out of the climbing. There is a lot of walking with the tour, but not too strenuous if the climbing is avoided. We really enjoyed this trip. Would suggest discussing your mother's condition with your tour operator in advance to get their advice. Also make sure you know return time, as some in our group were cut very close to ship's departure due to differences between local time and ship's time.
