New $49.00 pp tax will be posted to your shipboard account

Recommended Posts

Just notified today by my travel agent that a $49pp tax will be added to all shipboard accounts of passengers to French Poynesia. They received the fax today, and when I called Princess they said this fee has been in effect since April. So I guess I did not pay in full...

This was much discussed a few weeks ago on another thread, it isn't something under any cruise lines control. Governments tax as they see fit, ours certainly does.

Yep, we have all been notified over a month ago about the new tax. We can blame FP for it as it is not the cruise lines fault.

We're on the 4/12/05 TP Tahiti to Hawaii sailing and we have been assessed $70 p/p. Hard to figure out since we will actually be in FP less time than the regular TP sailings. Go figure.

Each Itinerary has a different price increase. The Marq. Islands (sorry can't spell that so we will shorten it a bit lol) is $70 pp where as the Cook Islands are only $49, not sure why?
