Marriott Marina-Ft. Lauderdale

I went to book the Marriott Marina for May 26 (one night, pre-cruise) and the tower rooms were sold out. Is that possible this far in advance? Should I wait and see if it opens up or book somewhere else before I get shut out? Thanks.

I would call the hotel directly as many of the room are still suffering from hurricane damage. It could be they've closed off new bookings until the rooms actually become usable.

The Fort Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show is in town that week at the convention center, it's a pretty big event. You may have trouble finding anything on 17th Street near the convention center.

It's also Memorial Day weekend... I would book something else, and then keep trying for a Marina Marriott tower room if that's what you really want... Did you ask if they would book another room for you and put you on a waitlist for a tower room?

I may look for another property. Perhaps the Pelican Beach if it is not too difficult to get timely transportation to and from...plus to the port. Thanks everybody for your help.
