Fort Lauderdale to Miami Airport transfer

We are arriving in Fort Lauderdale port and flying out of Miami airport. Will it be cheaper to just grab a cab in port or pre-book a private transfer as I presume all cabs at port will be metered or is it a fixed price? There are 4 of us. Any idea of costs?

We used uber about $30 taxi was asking about 100 plus tip..

I've made this commute many times. Uber is the only easy and simple way to go.
