ChoosinCruisin60 Posted July 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Has anyone done this Stockholm - Famous Archipelago with Lunch 6 hour excursion either with Celebrity or any other Cruise line. Any feedback would be appreciated. Does it still allow a real "taste" of Stockholm? Is it very strenuous - listed as such but unsure what to expect. Rare John Bull Posted July 4, 2017 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2017 I've never done it. But then I wouldn't even consider it. The sail-in and out are marvellous, I don't see that travelling the archipelago by boat or bus can compare. If you only have a one day port-of-call visit, I suggest you use it to explore Stockholm's old town (Gamla Stan) and adjacent royal palace, the restored ship Vasa, and the city's other sights - on foot, by bus or by ho-ho boat. ChoosinCruisin60 Posted July 4, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 4, 2017 Thanks easyboy for the tip on Northern Europe &Baltic Sea Forum. I'll head over there to see what suggestions are offered. And thanks JB for the feedback on that specific excursion. I will look at other alternatives other than the archipelago and lunch and brewery.
