Does anybody know with a degree of certainty (i.e. have stayed in a full suite) if you can order off the dining room menu from room service if you are staying in a full suite.

Yes, you can. You should get an expanded breakfast menu, and will have lunch and evening menus delivered to your cabin each day.

We ordered lobsters from room service on formal night on the Sun Princess, 3 days ago. And we weren't even staying in a suite.

We were in a PH suite on the Diamond Princess July 05 and ordered anything we wanted and were never denied anything. Also, most of the time we could change a reservation for PC dining at any time, as long as we gave reservations a little notice (5-6 hours). There were eight of us traveling together and we made the reservations for the group.:)
