How early can we drop our bags at the ship on embarkation day?

Hi, we are on Uniworld's Gems of Northern Italy trip later this week (yay) & just have a quick question. We are taking the cruise only portion (no Milan) so we are coming into Venice a day early. On embarkation day how early can we drop the bags off on the ship? We know they are busy getting people off the ship & cleaning, etc. We just want to drop our bags off & then head back out to do our thing & stay out of the crew's way. So if anyone has any info/advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks!!

Although we didn't do this, I see no reason why they wouldn't accommodate you if you arrive early. People start leaving very early. We were on the extension and left around 8:30 am or so. The crew onboard is very accommodating and most of the departing guests' bags will already be out. They know the guests arriving from Milan won't arrive until later.
