tampabrat22 Posted November 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2005 Hi, We are going to G. Cayman next week on the inspiration, and will have two small children. I am wondering what would be the best way to get around town (Turtle Farm, Hell, Butterfly farm)? We have the info for car rentals but I am very leary about learning to drive ther with my children in the car. I have heard there may be taxi's available for hire for the day? Is this true? How easy is the bus system? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
ColleenN Posted November 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2005 I just booked a private tour on Jamaica with Marva, who came VERY highly recommended through these boards. She told me that her son is a taxi driver in Grand Cayman, his name is Javia, and he is available for tours there. You can reach him at knowjam@yahoo.com Have fun! serene56 Posted December 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2005 5 ships in port with you that day. I would rethink renting a car in Grand Cayman. They drive on the left- the strip betteween the pier and where you gotta go-- will be heavily congested. You wont need a taxi for the whole day for what you want. 3 hours max. should do it. Dont forget to add the rum cake factory.
