Hi, We will be on this ship in a few weeks and I have a couple of questions for the experienced Thomson cruisers.

 

What dress ware is expected for Gents in the main restaurant. Can I get away with jeans and trainers or do I need shirt, shoes and a tie ?

 

What currency is used in the casino ?

Hi Keith

They expect you to wear a shirt and tie on formal night only but you can go 'smart casual' the remainder of the time, no shorts in the evenings, we have seen people asked to change from jeans but have also seen them allowed in think it depends who is on the door. Its sterling in the casino and I think they allow you to charge but not certain.

Just one point, IMO, you will have some of the best entertainers on board with both the groups and band you will not know who to follow.

On formal night I am happy to wear a shirt and tie but am reluctant to pack shoes due to the weight. Would I get away with dark coloured trainers ?

I would have thought black trainers will be ok then........I once wore big walking boots on a 9 hr flight just took them off on the plane........
