sophiek Posted June 7, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2004 We will be sailing on the Millie Med cruise June 26th. On Disney cruises, you can go to Guest Services and charge your tips to your onboard account (they give you computerized stubs with the server or steward or whoever's name on it, the amount you are giving them and your name and cabin number). This way you don't have to carry the extra cash and you can settle your onboard account with a credit card, but you still have something (the computer stub) to give to the people you are tipping. Does anyone know if Celebrity does this?
JORAY Posted June 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Yes, you can charge the tips to your on board account. You should recive a form in your stateroom to fill out with the suggested amounts or you may tip more. The main problem with the Celebrity form is it is done by day/per person. So watch the extra amount -- In other words a $0.50 addition is $0.50 X 2 people X 12 day cruise = $12.00 extra. Don't just put $12.00 in for extra tip or it will come out $12.00 X 2 x 12 = $288.00. You will get a card to hand to the person you have tipped. Many people tip the suggested via the program and then tip the extra in cash to make the point there is an extra tip for service.
