Its very different.

Hungarian Horsemen = The Art of Horsemanship: Puszta Lázár Horse Farm

http://www.lazarlovaspark.hu/webset32.cgi?Lovaspark@@EN@@39@@725598409

It is outdoors and involves nomadic warrior archery (shooting arrows while riding) and exhibitions of carriage driving.

Vienna Spanish Riding School is all about disciplined in a military manner. Moving in unison to the extent it looks like the horses are dancing.

If you like horses, do both.

Leaving for BUD next week and am still deciding on the Hungarian Horsemen excursion or the Vienna Spanish Riding School ....

any comments, opinions or suggestions much appreciated!

We did the Hungarian Horsemen excursion (with Avalon, but other buses were there, so I am sure some were Viking) and also have done the Spanish Riding School (two times). Both are spectacular and totally different. By the way, the lunch at the Hungarian excursion was unbelievable. Never have we see so much food! You won't be disappointed.

We've done all "three" and I'm using that term on purpose. The Hungarian Horse Show was fun with them riding around a track and even standing up on top of the horses.

We did the Spanish Riding School Performance on our own in Vienna which is only done on Saturday and Sunday morning and requires tickets in advance (can be purchased on the web).

Viking has a "behind the scenes look at the stables with the horses there and one of the trainers as a guide. We liked it because we had seen the performance and it gave us more background. However, there is no "performance" on this Viking tour so don't get confused about what you are going to see.
