gillyg Posted September 26, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2017 Hello all. we have booked tickets for Park Guell (our entry time is 10.30 a.m.). Our plan is to be off the ship for 10 a.m. and get a taxi to the Park. Is that enough time? also can we walk to Sagrada Familia from there after we have finished at the park? thanks in advance Gilly

We walked from Parc Guell to La Sagrada and it was about a 35 minute walk... downhill which is a good thing. We stopped for a bite to eat about half way... would not recommend where we stopped. There seemed to be nicer restaurants along a pedestrian street close to La Sagrada. Do you have tickets for La Sagrada - ?? I would recommend getting tickets for that also. Enjoy! gillyg Posted September 26, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 26, 2017 thanks for that. slightly 'dumb' question, but is it a straightforward route from the park to sagrada? will we get lost?
EnricM Posted September 26, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2017 Sagrada Família is 2,5km on a gentle downhill slope from Park Güell, so say, 40' walk. Having said that, I always advise to detour a bit and visit the neighbourhood of Gràcia, have lunch there and then head to the Sagrada Família for an early afternoon visit, say 3:30-4:00 when it's (or might be) slightly less crowded. For further info re:Gràcia check my answer to @JJ2579 and check for my suggestion on WED 16: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g187497-i44-k7350676-First_Timers_Help_With_5_Day_Itinerary-Barcelona_Catalonia.html#57433425 And the map I refer to in that post is this one: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1XGEeOOmF2vlKPEkIKKXE7JuEZ1M

EnricM Posted September 28, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2017 https://sonar.es/en/2018/tickets  ... however, the final program won't be published until waaaay into 2018. This is a large festival with many groups and artists -as you can see in the 2017 program- so it has a very complex organisation which means the program is not out until the closer to the date of the festival. Here some info for a past edition: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/18/arts/music/sonar-barcelona-festival-best-performances.html?mcubz=
