sk8terchick Posted October 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Cruising out of San Francisco in March. First three days are at sea. I was wondering when the first formal night was for those who have already sailed this itinerary. Have a great day [emoji2] Sent from my iPad using Forums
easyboy Posted October 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Usually the first sea day. Actual day is listed on page 2 of embarkation Patter. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
peety3 Posted October 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2017 For what it's worth, we did the 7-day Mexican Riviera on the Ruby out of LA in February, and the first formal night was the second sea day. Other cruisers reported similar on their 7-day/Mexico/Ruby sailings, so it did seem to be a pattern. It threw me for a loop, but I wonder if bumping it out a day doesn't increase their ability to sell spa services for formal night.
sk8terchick Posted October 15, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 15, 2017 Thank you[emoji2]. I wanted to book Crown Grille in advance but not on Formal night. Sent from my iPad using Forums

The formal night was the second sea day, not the first. I was really surprised to see that.
