Jamaica time vs. ship time

I am confused with the time zone in Jamaica. We will be sailing in mid-February and since Jamaica does not observe Daylight Savings Time, in essence they will be in the equivalent of the US Central Time Zone.

 

My questions are: If the itinerary says we arrive in Falmouth at 10:30 am, is that ship time or Eastern time (9:30 am)? If sail away is 7pm is that ship time meaning we need to on board by 5:30 pm local time?

That would be ship time (the time zone in which you sail from).

From what I've seen, ships usually tend to stick to ship time when they reference time on the itineraries. :)

By the way, if it helps, we always make sure to set our phones (which we use to keep track of time) so they don't change over when we enter a new time zone. This way we can stick with ship time, no matter where we are.
