Kilted Posted December 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2005 I seem to have a opposite question than most about the kids programs. I have a DD that just turned 13. Looking at the kids program she is much more intrested in the 9-11 age group with her sister. She really loves the arts and crafts stuff and science things. There doesn't seem to be much of that in her group 12 -14 age (she not all that excited about just hanging out). Is it going to be possible to get her in the 9-11 group? Thanks for any info. 3redheads Posted December 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2005 It is possible, but once she's in one club, she has to stay in that age group. Our daughter is 12 and the older club (which she went to) does not offer enough supervision. Just my opinion. I think she'll love the 9-11~~
kendallison Posted December 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2005 Just be aware that they don't always do what is on the schedule. My daughter was in the 9-11 group last week on the Mariner. She went to AO several times during the week expecting to do a science experiment or art project that was on the schedule. Sometimes they just skipped the science or art and did something else (like games). When I inquired about it they said their schedule is subject to change depending on how things are going. I'm not complaining... just want you to be aware before you request to change her.
Calicruisefamily Posted December 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2005 On Voyager our daughter was in the 6-8 group she is 8. I did see two sets of parents that had one in the 6-8 and another in the 9-11 they did ask to have them together in one group or the other. In one set they did let the 9 year old go down to the 6-8 group and everthing was fine, But I did hear them turn down other parents that wanted to do this.I guess it is up to the Adventure Ocean staff and what is best for the kids.
