bbiggar Posted December 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2005 near the Holiday on the Beach. My in laws now have booked the cruise with us and was wondering how close is it to some decent places to eat? We had planned on walking down the board walk to somewhere, but not sure if my father in law can walk that far.
TrentS Posted December 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2005 There's no boardwalk in Fort Lauderdale  The Holiday Inn on Fort Lauderdale Beach (at Sunrise Blvd. & A1A if that's the hotel you're referring to) is in an area with a few small restaurants and bars. The only one I know to be good is a small Italian place a couple blocks west of it on Sunrise Blvd. called Franco & Vinny's. It's at the base of the bridge. If you wanted to walk down the beach to the restaurants along the beach you'll need a taxi, it would be a rather long walk!
